The last stop on our grand European adventure was Ireland. We spent two days in Dublin and one day taking a tour of the Cliffs of Moher. We started our stay in Dublin by going to the place that Ireland is most known for, the Guinness factory!!!!!! People always told me that the Guinness was better in Ireland but I never believed them. I just thought it was that whole, "it's just because you were in Ireland" deal, but boy was I proved wrong. The beer really was better, smoother, sweeter and creamier than in the states. After the beer tasting, we headed into the heart of Dublin and explored the streets for a bit before I was hit by a massive wave of fatigue and was forced to retire to our hotel and sleep. The next day began with a traditional Irish breakfast, because you can't go to Ireland without having one! We then walked to the Dublinia to see the Viking exhibit because I was and still am going through a Viking obsession phase (thank you History Channel). We also walked to Trinity College, where we saw the famous library and went to the National Museum of Ireland where we saw another Viking exhibit (I know.... I'm obsessed...). On our way back to our hotel we managed to come across the Temple Bar district and enjoyed some oysters and Guinness. I'm not really sure if it's a thing that the locals eat, but they kept advertising it everywhere so we figured we had to give it a try. Needless to say, it was an interesting combination. Later that evening, I decided to hit the town and went back out to the Temple Bar district and met a ton of interesting people and had a great time. Unfortunately I did not take any pictures because I was too busy dancing, signing and maybe drinking a pint or two of Guinness, so if all of those activities appeal to you then this is a place you definitely don't want to miss. Getting excited.... The pouring technique never fails to amaze me Enjoying my free pint You could say I left a little happier The street signs that saved my life one too many times Dublin Castle Having a nap on the cobble stones of Dublin Castle Traditional Irish breakfast The colorful doors of Dublin This was the part where I really started getting excited about the Viking exhibit Trinity College Library You won't leave Ireland without learning a little something about Brian Boru The rotunda of the National Museum of Ireland Just some of the many Viking artifacts Ok.... I will admit, I may have a problem Some of the best ice cream I've ever had in my life Temple Bar District Guinness and oysters Made a quick stop at Ireland's oldest pub before heading to the Temple Bar district
