The first stop on this trip was Boston. On the first day, I walked along the Freedom Trail from start to finish and fulfilled my lifelong dream of watching a Red Sox game at Fenway! The next day, I visited Harvard and MIT, went beer tasting at Sam Adams and Harpoon, and basically just walked around the city, enjoying the people and the sights. There is just something about this city and it's history (something that you never get on the west coast) that makes it so amazing to be in and I was so glad to have been able to visit during this trip. I seriously can't wait to visit again soon!
Ok so quick (actually, it'll probably be really long) apology as to why I have been MIA recently. If you have been following me on either of my instragrams, you will see that I have been doing quite a bit of traveling this past month. In one month, I traveled up the east coast by bus, packed up my life in DC, flew home to Southern California to see family, drove 1000 miles and moved back to Oregon, took a drive up the Oregon coast and went camping on the Olympic Peninsula. To say that life has been pretty hectic would be an understatement, but I'm glad to be starting school again and getting back into a routine because it means having more time to catch up on the blog and show you some amazing stuff from my recent trips. So sit tight and I apologize again, because I'm about to blow up your feeds with all my blog posts in these next upcoming weeks! Enjoy!
I always knew that when my internship ended, I would take a some time to travel up the east coast before heading back home. I had done a similar trip 4 years before, except this time I would be doing it alone. I settled on visiting 4 cities (Boston, Burlington, Portland and New York) in 7 days. I also chose to travel by bus, since it was both cheap and would allow me to save on hostels since I could just sleep on the bus while traveling between cities.
