Once the hike ended, A and I walked along the beach and stopped every few minutes to take pictures of the sunset since it was a rare opportunity where the coast was not completely covered in clouds and fog. We ended the day by having seafood at a restaurant on the water (because you don't go to the cost and not have seafood) after seeing one of the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen
A few weeks ago, the sun finally decided to make an appearance after weeks of rain and cloudy weather. Not only was it sunny, but it was a warm 65 degrees! (the Californian in me is seriously thinking I'm crazy for saying that). Because it was both sunny and warm, my friend A and I decided to take advantage of the weather and head to the coast do some hiking in Florence. I had heard about this trail in Florence called the Hobbit Trail, and being an avid Lord of the Ringer fan, I thought it would be the perfect hike to do. The hike itself was about a mile an a half long It started at the beach, took you through the forrest and ended back on the beach down the coast. This hike was perfect for people like us who had, uh, had a little too much fun the night before. Once the hike ended, A and I walked along the beach and stopped every few minutes to take pictures of the sunset since it was a rare opportunity where the coast was not completely covered in clouds and fog. We ended the day by having seafood at a restaurant on the water (because you don't go to the cost and not have seafood) after seeing one of the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen The beginning of the Hobbit Trail Almost done with the hike yet no Hobbits in sight The Hobbit Hole was surprisingly bigger than I imagined, or maybe I'm just that short.... I don't know what A was doing, but I decided to take a picture anyways Walking back to the car along the beach Who needs to pay to see the sea lions when you can just drive north 400 meters to the viewpoint for maximum sea lion viewing Hands down the best sunset I have ever seen Unfortunately, there was no brewery visit this trip because we could not find one in the area. The only one in the area had closed down :( So to make up for it, here is a flight I had from the night before at Elk Horn Brewery for brewery night.
