Last week I got 4 days off from work for 4th of July weekend. 4 days!!! I really took advantage of the time off to see and do all the things in the city that I hadn't done yet. My first two days off basically consisted of eating donuts and visiting museums. ha! On the third day, 4th of July, I started the day by going to a Nat's game. After the game, I headed towards the National Mall to learn about Peru at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival (sidenote-I now have to add Peru to my travel bucket list) and see some fireworks on the Reflection Pool. Let me tell you, there is nothing like 4th of July in our nation's capitol and watching fireworks on the National Mall, I highly recommend that everyone experience it at least once in their life!
