Love Potion #9
When the weather in Oregon gets above 50 degrees, it's like the whole state drops whatever it's doing and goes outside. Last weekend, I was one of those people. Despite having a final paper due next week, A and I decided to take advantage of the 70 degree weather and go exploring. We decided on Corvallis, a small college town 45 minutes north of us and the home of the Oregon State Beavers (*cough* Go Ducks *cough*).
I had never been to Corvallis but was informed about some great places to hike and some delicious breweries. Hiking and beer?! I was sold. The day started off with some hiking at Bald Hill Natural Area, where we found a cool looking barn and a tree swing. I remembered to bring my digital camera with me this time so I had the chance to play around with the settings and take some cool looking photos. Afterward A and I did a mini beer tour of some the breweries in Corvallis- I had no idea there where so many! We hit up Block 15, Flat Tail, Mazama and 2 Towns Ciderhouse. I was very impressed with the quality of the beer and the number of breweries in this little Oregon town. If anyone ever decides to do a beercation or beer tour in Oregon, don't rule out Corvallis!

First stop on the Corvallis beer tour- Block 15. I highly recommend the burgers and the

A much needed flight after hiking and swinging
Second stop- Flat Tail Brewing. My favorite was the Guapo Mole. Ole!
Third stop- Mazama Brewing. I really enjoyed their El Duque beer and I loved their coasters. I may have taken a few home ;)
The coolest looking coasters you'll ever see!
Fourth and last stop- 2 Towns Ciderhouse. This place was literally right next door to Mazama, so we couldn't not check it out! I enjoyed all of my samplers and it was the perfect way to end our mini beer tour. Cheers!
